💨 Abstract
Leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA) John Steenhuisen warns that 30% US tariffs, imposed by President Donald Trump, could have severe economic consequences for South Africa. He urges the ANC to implement urgent economic reforms to mitigate potential job losses and lost export revenue. Steenhuisen calls for increased efficiency at ports, more private sector involvement in electricity and freight rail, and changes to the Expropriation Act and BBBEE.
