Starting 1 February, several popular nature reserves in Cape Town will implement cashless payment systems at their gates for safety reasons, aligning with international tourism practices. Nature reserves affected include Witzands Aquifer, Tygerberg, Table Bay, Helderberg, and Blaauwberg. Entrance fees range from R15 to R28, while free pedestrian access remains available at Witzands Aquifer.
