💨 Abstract
The Madlanga Commission, investigating corruption and political interference in South Africa's criminal justice system, has taken a 10-day break. Hearings will resume on October 13, 2025. The break was necessitated by Commissioner Sesi Baloyi's commitments and Lieutenant General Dumisani Khumalo's sudden illness during his testimony. The Commission has faced several delays, including logistical issues and the suspension of senior officials.
