đź’¨ Abstract
A severe double cold front is expected to hit South Africa, affecting Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Northern Cape with freezing temperatures, potential floods, and strong winds. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) advises taking safety precautions, such as not leaving heaters unattended, and checking on vulnerable neighbors, especially between Tuesday and Friday. Risk of house fires is heightened, particularly in informal settlements.
