💨 Abstract

Severe storms are expected to hit six of South Africa's provinces on January 10, 2026, with a Level 5 warning in effect for Mpumalanga and Limpopo's Lowveld regions. The weather will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers across most provinces. Gauteng, the smallest but most populous province, will experience cloudy and cool to warm conditions with scattered showers.
