💨 Abstract
South Africa plans to start collecting toll fees on southbound traffic at the Beitbridge border post, ending Zimbabwe’s role as the sole collector. The new system, led by the South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), aims to fund infrastructure projects and reduce congestion. Zimbabwe will continue collecting fees for northbound traffic. The initiative includes public consultations and aims to modernize the tolling process with automated and transparent systems.
