💨 Abstract
The eThekwini Municipality has updated Durban’s beach and pool statuses. As of 3 October, Mdloti Main Beach has reopened for swimming, while four others remain closed due to poor water quality. Nineteen beaches are open for swimming between 06:00 and 18:30. Additionally, 40 public pools are open, with varying hours. The municipality notes that recreational activities are allowed at closed beaches, but swimming is prohibited.
