💨 Abstract
South Africa has returned ancestral human remains and a centuries-old stone carving of the Zimbabwe bird to Zimbabwe. The remains, exhumed during the colonial era, include a tribal chief and a man accused of witchcraft. The carving, stolen in the late 19th century, is part of several looted from Great Zimbabwe. The repatriation is part of a global effort to return artifacts taken during colonization.
