💨 Abstract
Zimbabwe's Meteorological Services Department and the Department of Civil Protection have issued a severe weather alert for the festive period, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential flooding in several provinces, including Manicaland, Masvingo, Harare Metropolitan, and parts of Mashonaland East and Central. The alert, effective from Wednesday, predicts over 50mm of rain within 24 hours, along with lightning, strong winds, and hail.
