💨 Abstract
Kenyan marathon world record holder Ruth Chepngetich has been provisionally suspended due to suspicion of doping. She tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide, a banned diuretic, in March 2025, despite initially not being provisionally suspended. She later chose a voluntary suspension in April while investigations continued. Hydrochlorothiazide is used to treat conditions like fluid retention and hypertension.
