Proteas batsman Heinrich Klaasen has unexpectedly retired from international white-ball cricket at 33, following his red-ball retirement in 2024. Klaasen, known for his aggressive batting, debuted in 2018 and played 60 ODIs and 58 T20Is, famously scoring 174 against Australia in 2023, the second-highest score by a number five batsman.
