A 49-member South African team has been selected for the 20th World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, from September 13-21. The team, consisting of 32 men and 17 women, includes teenage sprinter Bayanda Walaza, despite his recent injury. Notable athletes include Akani Simbine, Wayde van Niekerk, and Prudence Sekgodiso.
