The article argues that several experienced Springboks—Willie le Roux, Handre Pollard, and Eben Etzebeth—should be dropped or benched as they lack form in the 2025 season. Le Roux underperformed in a loss to New Zealand, while Pollard and Etzebeth were rested after subdued displays.
