The 2027 Rugby World Cup draw is scheduled for December 2025, featuring 24 teams for the first time. The Springboks are preparing to defend their title, currently leading the rankings. The draw will be based on the World Rugby Men’s Rankings at the end of the November 2025 international window. The expanded format includes a new round of 16 and 52 matches.
