During a rugby match in Paarl, a player from Manenberg Rangers punched a referee twice while being issued a red card. The player, Yaseen Elliot, has been banned for life. The referee sustained injuries, including a swollen face and sore jaw, but is recovering. This incident has shocked the local rugby community.
