💨 Abstract
South Africa's Bafana Bafana football team has been docked points by FIFA for fielding an ineligible player, Teboho Mokoena, in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho. The player should have been suspended due to accumulated yellow cards. FIFA's Disciplinary Committee ruled that the match was forfeited and fined the South African Football Association (SAFA) CHF 10,000.
