Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa's top football team, secured their 11th consecutive qualification for the CAF Champions League group stages by defeating Nigerian champions Remo Stars. They won the second leg 2-0 at home, following a 5-1 victory in Nigeria, resulting in a 7-1 aggregate score. Nuno Santos and Peter Shalulile scored for Sundowns.
