In their opening match, Kaizer Chiefs defeated Stellenbosch FC 2-0. Stars like Brandon Peterson, Nkonsigiphile Ngcobo, Thabo Cele, and Aden McCarthy had standout performances, while Naledi Hlongwane and Wandile Duba struggled. Peterson was solid in goal, Ngcobo shone with a free-kick and midfield control, and McCarthy was solid at the heart of defense.
