💨 Abstract

By 2027, Wimbledon plans to unveil a statue of Andy Murray to honor his two Wimbledon championships in 2013 and 2016. The iconic tennis player will be celebrated during the 150th anniversary of the championships. Previously, statues were erected for Fred Perry and others after they were suggested by tennis legends like John McEnroe and Billie Jean King. Murray will be closely involved in the planning and unveiling of his statue.
