đź’¨ Abstract
Starting January 1, 2026, citizens of Botswana and Namibia applying for a US B1/B2 visitor visa may need to pay a refundable bond of $5,000 to $15,000 (R82,000 to R247,000). This bond, part of a pilot program, aims to deter overstays and is refundable if terms are met.
