💨 Abstract
The Western Cape Mobility Department reported 21 fatal crashes and 28 deaths on provincial roads in the first week of the 2025 festive season. Pedestrians were the most affected group, with 12 fatalities. Minister Isaac Sileku and Chief Director Maxine Bezuidenhout urged all road users to exercise caution, avoid drunk driving, obey speed limits, and follow safety guidelines to prevent further incidents.
