💨 Abstract

This week, a five-day strike by London Underground staff caused major disruptions, forcing commuters to find alternative transport or work from home. The RMT union, seeking better pay and reduced hours, organized the strike, affecting up to five million daily passengers. Transport for London (TfL) deemed the strike unnecessary and impractical, leading to postponed events and overcrowded buses and trains. This is the first major Tube strike under the new Labour government.
