💨 Abstract
England will launch the world's first gonorrhoea vaccine campaign in August, using an existing meningitis vaccine (4CMenB) that reduces gonorrhoea risk by nearly half. Gonorrhoea cases have tripled since 2012, reaching 85,000 in 2023. The vaccine will initially target gay and bisexual men, who are most at risk.
