💨 Abstract

A new study shows a significant link between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and an increased risk of lung cancer. Researchers analyzed 2.4 million adults and found that those with OSA are 1.21 times more likely to develop lung cancer. While the exact reasons are unclear, factors like reduced oxygen levels and lifestyle habits (like smoking) might contribute. The study urges for early screening and intervention for OSA patients.
