💨 Abstract
The Saltash tunnel in Cornwall will face further disruptions due to a year-long £25 million refurbishment starting from late November 2024. The usual tidal traffic system has been replaced with fixed lanes, potentially affecting journey times, especially for those traveling eastbound into Devon. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys. The changes, which also include new safety measures, are a result of repeated technology faults with the traffic control system.
