💨 Abstract
A nearly 200-year-old tunnel, the Port Dinorwic Tunnel in North Wales, has been rediscovered after being out of use since the 1960s. Built in 1824, it was crucial for the slate trade, connecting quarries to the waterside for transport across the UK. The tunnel was recently uncovered by Disused Railway Tunnels UK after being bricked up and hidden.
