💨 Abstract

On May 3, two experienced foragers were poisoned by a highly toxic plant, Hemlock, on Sully Island, Wales. The pair, exhibiting anxiety and elevated pulse rates, were rescued by the RNLI and brought to the mainland for medical attention. Hemlock, which resembles parsnips, can cause severe symptoms, including respiratory failure, from even small amounts. This incident led to a beach warning, advising people to keep dogs on leads and be cautious of consuming unfamiliar plants.
