💨 Abstract
A report on the sinking of billionaire Mike Lynch's superyacht Bayesian off Sicily last year concluded that extreme winds caused the yacht to capsize and become irrecoverable. Lynch, 59, and his daughter Hannah, 18, were among the seven fatalities. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch noted the yacht's vulnerability to strong winds but limited evidence due to an ongoing Italian probe. Survivors were rescued by a nearby yacht, and all bodies were later recovered.
