💨 Abstract

In southern France, heavy rains and thunderstorms caused three deaths and left two missing. The hardest-hit areas included Var, located in the French Riviera, where entire streets were flooded, leading to power and water outages. In Le Lavandou and Vidauban, floodwaters claimed two lives when cars were swept away. Local officials described devastation, including collapsed infrastructure and inaccessible areas. Emergency services were deployed to aid rescue efforts.
