💨 Abstract
Spain's airports, including Madrid-Barajas, Malaga, and Palma, are facing severe issues with homeless camps, crime, and insect infestations. Homeless individuals, some residing in the airports for years, face unsafe conditions, including drug use and violence. Madrid-Barajas, the busiest airport, had to be fumigated for bed bugs, and staff report seeing various pests. Access to the airport is now restricted after 9 PM to deter rough sleepers.
