💨 Abstract
The Met Office predicts heavy rain, thunderstorms, and potential tornadoes in the UK after a sunny period. Today, the south will experience heavy showers and possible thunder and lightning, with a risk of funnel clouds or brief tornadoes. Northern regions will remain sunny. The weather will gradually spread across the nation over the weekend, with Bank Holiday Monday bringing both sunshine and showers. Unseasonably cold nights with frost are expected on Thursday and Friday.
