💨 Abstract
A worker died, and two others were injured when a sewage barge exploded on the Hudson River during New York City’s Fleet Week. The blast occurred around 10:30 AM on a Department of Environmental Protection vessel docked near West 138th Street in Manhattan. The 59-year-old worker, who was welding the hull during the explosion, was trapped and died.
