💨 Abstract
Junior doctors are seeing a decline in public support for their strike threats, with backing dropping from 52% to 39%. This follows a ballot for new walkouts after a 5.4% pay offer, despite a 22% rise last year. The British Medical Association (BMA) describes the offer as inadequate. Over a million appointments were cancelled in previous strikes, causing patient distress and increasing pressure on NHS staff.
