💨 Abstract
A woman, Lauren Baird, was jailed for 18 months after she dragged two police officers along a road in Scotland. She had sped off during a traffic stop where police noticed her car was uninsured. Baird's actions resulted in the officers' admission to hospital and significant psychological harm. Despite pleading guilty, the sheriff deemed her behavior "appalling," endangering the officers' lives. Baird was also disqualified from driving for 43 months.
