💨 Abstract
A Year 6 pupil at Blackhorse Primary School in Bristol sent 9,000 WhatsApp messages in one night, leading the school to ban smartphones. The extreme use of messaging sparked concerns over online safety, such as cyber-bullying and predatory behavior. Almost 90% of parents supported the ban after a police talk on digital dangers. The school will still allow basic, non-smart phones.
