💨 Abstract
The name Roger was so unpopular in 2024 that it was equally as uncommon as the name Wolfgang, with only five boys in England and Wales named Roger. Philip was the least popular, with just four instances. Surprisingly, classic names like Steven and Derek were given to 18 boys each. However, a quarter of adults prefer naming their babies after grandparents, and four in ten would choose gender-neutral names. There is a trend shift towards more playful and unique names.
