💨 Abstract
The BBC veteran Alan Yentob,who retired in 2020, died at 78. He spent nearly 60 years championing arts and culture at the BBC. Known for his curiously and passion for storytelling, he was valued as a mentor and a friend by many. His legacy with programs such as Arena and Imagine continues. Director-General Tim Davie remembered him as a "towering figure" whose influence is felt across British culture.
