💨 Abstract

Jake Lawler, 15, collapsed and died during a football game at his school due to a misdiagnosis of exercise-induced asthma. An inquest revealed that medical professionals missed key warning signs, including an abnormal ECG and a syncopal episode during exercise. The coroner concluded that proper actions could have prevented his death from biventricular arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
