💨 Abstract
Imane Khelif, an Algerian boxer, will miss the Eindhoven Box Cup following World Boxing's announcement of mandatory sex testing for athletes. Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting from Taiwan were at the center of a gender controversy during the 2024 Paris Olympics, after being allowed to compete despite allegedly failing gender eligibility tests. Khelif won a gold medal at the Games. The Eindhoven mayor has criticized the mandatory testing, arguing all athletes should be welcome.
