💨 Abstract
Boxer Imane Khelif, who won gold for Algeria at the 2024 Paris Games, faces renewed allegations of being biologically male. In 2023, the International Boxing Association (IBA) banned her after tests supposedly showed male DNA. Despite these claims, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed her to compete based on her female passport. A newly published medical report suggests Khelif has a male karyotype (XY chromosomes).
