💨 Abstract
Apple's iOS 18.5 update now allows iPhone 13 models to send texts via satellite, a feature previously limited to iPhone 14 and later. This update enables users to communicate without a phone signal, using satellites instead of phone masts. However, iPhone 13 users won't have access to Apple's Emergency SOS via Satellite feature, and they need a carrier that supports satellite connectivity.
