💨 Abstract
A cyberattack dubbed "ViciousTrap" has compromised over 9,000 Asus Wi-Fi routers, with the number still rising. The hack, detected in March, allows attackers stealthy and persistent control over these devices, making it hard to detect or remove. The motive remains unclear, but experts suggest a complete factory reset, firmware update, and manual reconfigure for affected routers. Asus has addressed the initial vulnerabilities.
