💨 Abstract
A 48-year-old woman in China's Chengdu region broke her shoulder bone just by rolling in bed due to severe vitamin D deficiency. Prolonged avoidance of sunlight led to a critical calcium deficiency, weakening her bones and causing osteoporosis. Her vitamin D levels were critically low, accelerating bone loss. Medical experts warned about the risks of sun avoidance, lack of calcium, and sedentary lifestyles.
