💨 Abstract

Dozens of dogs were rescued from a North Carolina home where they lived in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Animal control officers found 101 dogs and 21 chickens in a Raleigh County residence. The dogs, many with health issues, were taken to eight different shelters for medical assessments. The homeowner surrendered the animals without resistance. The SPCA chapter reported that the dogs were receiving much-needed care and experiencing fresh air for the first time.
