💨 Abstract
During a Club World Cup match between Manchester City and Wydad, an animal-rights activist interrupted the game at Lincoln Financial Field to protest Morocco's treatment of stray animals. The protester, associated with PETA, was quickly escorted out. The protest highlights ongoing criticisms of Morocco's stray animal management, despite the government's attempts to improve conditions. Wydad, based in Casablanca, is one of the teams involved.
