💨 Abstract
Constant Mutamba, Congo's Minister of Justice, resigned amid an investigation into the alleged embezzlement of $19 million intended for a prison construction project in Kisangani. Mutamba, 37, claimed the legal actions against him were orchestrated by the Rwandan government and said he faced several assassination attempts. Previously, Mutamba advocated for the death penalty for journalists covering Rwandan-backed rebels.
