In El Rocío, Spain, hundreds of pilgrims, dressed in traditional attire, gathered around an ox-driven carriage carrying an icon of the Virgin Mary after a 12-hour journey. The pilgrimage, known as the "romería del Rocío," is one of the world's largest Catholic pilgrimages, attracting about a million people annually.
