💨 Abstract
After multiple delays due to water quality issues, the men's 10-kilometer open water race at the World Swimming Championships concluded on Wednesday. Florian Wellbrock of Germany won the event, securing his eighth gold in world championship events. Italiano Gregorio Paltrinieri and Australian Kyle Lee took second and third places, respectively. The women's race was postponed twice but was set to follow later in the day. Organizers reported improved water quality following concerns about E. coli levels.
