The Baltimore Orioles activated outfielder Colton Cowser from the 60-day injured list, ending his absence due to a broken left thumb. Cowser, who hit 24 home runs last season and was second in the AL rookie of the year vote, rejoined the team before a six-game road trip. The Orioles designated utilityman Cooper Hummel for assignment.
