💨 Abstract
The New York Mets acquired reliever Gregory Soto from the Baltimore Orioles for two minor league pitchers. Soto, a 30-year-old lefty, has a 3.96 ERA this season and has been particularly effective against left-handed batters. He is an All-Star with Detroit and has been with the Orioles for about a year. The Mets, leading the NL East, add Soto to strengthen their bullpen.
